I had to pick up the dinner rolls for Isa Grace's christening, but oh boy did I score for myself!
So my auntie Monica has been telling me to write more about the food. Ha! It's funny because Lord knows that's a huge part of my vacation, but as I stared at my smorgasbord from local mart, Chode's, the spirit moved me to take photos and write and well...eat!
I decided that I wanted to try a little bit of everything. Although, I had four too many bonelos (banana donuts, kind of)!! But oh man the chicken kelaguen wrap (that doesn't sound right, in fact it sounds pretty "coconut" but ehh...it works!) was the bomb! yummmm....
lumpia and pancit for good measure. And a bag of green mangos to pickle, Karla-styuuuu!!
oh yeah, and a half-eaten empanada! the nerve of Chode's to sell half-eaten food! ;) hahaha!
Man...pretty soon I'm gonna hear: "Dangkolo na palao'an si Joanna!" shet, shet, shet!
(Joanna is a big girl.)
